      Alzheimer's Association to present workshop

The Alzheimer's Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, will present "The Early-Stage Workshop," a free educational workshop, 9:30 a.m.-noon Sept. 12 at the Ocean Medical Center, Conference Room A, 425 Jack Martin Boulevard, Brick.

Featuring guest speaker, Joshua R. Shua-Haim, M.D., this workshop offers a forum for both the person experiencing memory loss and his/her care partner. Attendees will learn about early-stage dementia and how the disease affects all involved, and will participate in an idea exchange to help overcome some of the day-to-day challenges that occur with dementia.

A local physician and other healthcare professionals will offer information about medical research, community resources and healthy coping strategies.

This program is intended for individuals in the early stages of dementia and their caregivers. There is no fee for attending this program. Seating is limited. To register, or for more information on Alzheimer's disease and local educational programs, contact the Alzheimer's Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, at 973-586-4300.
