      Foundation to hold 11th annual psychic fair
            Mulberry Street Italian Food Center, 474 Brick Blvd, Brick, will host the 11th annual Psychic Fair fundraiser from 1-6 p.m. Sept. 28. Debi Blackey of Moolight Enterprises Inc., Howell, is coordinating the fundraiser. A portion of the proceeds raised at the psychic fair will benefit the Caffarelli Family Study Research Foundation, Inc.

      Benefit car wash rescheduled to Sept. 20

      Ladies Auxiliary to host spaghetti dinner Sept. 21
            An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner, hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary of Pioneer Hose Fire Co. No. 1, will be held 3:30-8 p.m. Sept. 21 at 312 Drum Point Road, Brick. The cost for the dinner, which includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, beverage and dessert, will be $7 for adults, $5 for children up to age 12 and free to those under four.

            Ocean County College, Toms River, is offering the following day trips. All ages are welcome. Lighten Up and Melt Away, visit the Sandy Hook lighthouse and stop at the Navesink Twin Lights and museum, includes lunch at The Melting Pot, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 26. The fee is $99.

            The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will offer a new series of six classes that will address issues concerning attention deficit disorder, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, obsessivecompulsive disorder, oppositional-defiant and conduct disorders, schizophrenia, substance abuse disorders and other mentalhealth challenges.

            The Church of the Visitation, 755 Mantoloking Road, Brick, will hold its annual family carnival 1:30-6 p.m. Sept. 28. All are welcome.       'Pavement Flea Market' to benefit foundation
            The Town Square Treasure Chest, together with The Ashley Lauren Foundation, will host a "Pavement Flea Market" 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 27 in the store's parking area at 300 Brick Blvd., Brick. The Ashley Lauren Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children suffering from cancer and their families.

      First Baptist Church to hold pantry food drive
            The First Baptist Church of Laurelton, 1836 Route 88, Brick, is holding a pantry food drive 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 20. Items needed are tuna, canned meat, cereal, juice, canned pasta meals, spaghetti sauce, canned spinach, yams, vegetables, crackers, peanut butter, jelly, mayo, stove top stuffing, shampoo, bath soap, paper towels and toilet tissue.       Marching bands to face off on Sept. 20
            High schools from all over the state will compete when the Brick Township Memorial High School marching band hosts a marching band competition on Sept. 20 on its football field. The gates will open at 5 p.m. and the musical event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available.

      Brick Township Police Dept. Drug Hotline
            The Brick Township Police Department provides a "Drug Hotline" for citizens to report drug-related activity. The hotline was established as a means of providing the public with the opportunity to anonymously report drug activities in their neighborhood. It is answered and monitored by detectives assigned to the Drug Enforcement Unit. Messages are checked on a daily basis.

      Ninth annual KiteFest to be held on Brick Beach
            The Brick Municipal Alliance Committee on Alcoholism, Drug Abuse and Youth Services (B-MAC) will host the 9th Annual KiteFest on Sept. 20 at Brick Beach III, Route 35 North. This free event is open to all residents of Brick Township and features kite assembly, kite flying and entertainment.
