Oct. 16 Golf Classic to benefit animal center

The Jersey Shore Animal Center invites the public to join them for a day of golf, food and fun at the seventh annual Golf Classic slated for Oct. 16 at the Pine Barrens Golf Club, Jackson. Teeoff will be at noon.

The outing will include brunch and dinner, greens fees, open bar, awards ceremony, 50/50 and gift auction. Prizes will be awarded for various contests including a $10,000 hole-in-one prize.

All are invited to participate in the event. The registration fee is $195 per person or $750 for a foursome. Tickets for the dinner and gift auction only may be purchased for $25.

Proceeds will benefit the homeless animals at the shelter and support the shelter's mission to rescue and care for unwanted, abandoned, abused and sick animals and find responsible, loving homes for them.
