Brick Garden Club to hold meeting Oct. 13

The Brick Township Garden Club will be meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 13 in the Cultural Arts Center on Herbertsville Road.

Vilma Oxenford, president, will conduct a short business meeting to discuss upcoming events and trips for the club. The committees for the annual garden tour will give reports and December meeting plans will be discussed.

Following the business session, guest speaker, Leslie Dempsey, will present "Fun and Success with Houseplants" and will also hold a plant emergency session to diagnose plant problems and suggest cures for problem plants of Brick Township Garden Club members.

Dempsey is a member of the American Orchid Society and the Deep Cut Orchid Society. She is collector and grower of orchids with over 100 plants in her Cedar Village home.
