NAMI to offer new series of classes for parents

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will offer a new series of six classes that will address issues concerning attention deficit disorder, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, oppositional-defiant and conduct disorders, schizophrenia, substance abuse disorders and other mental-health challenges.

The free course will be offered in Ocean County on Wednesday evenings, beginning in October, at a location in Toms River. Parents and other primary caregivers will learn how they may help their children most, while maintaining their own health and well-being.
