      The reality of postponing property revaluation in Brick since 2005 has nothing to do with keeping property owners' taxes down. It is strictly class warfare. If Brick needs to raise $120 million through property taxes to finance the municipal government, county government, special district taxes and education, then that is all that is required.

Bus driver loves the job she's about to lose
      Iam a single mother, supporting my children, and I am faced with the reality of being laid off. I wonder about those three years the town did not raise their share of our taxes. (I am aware that taxes increased due to school budgets.) Now the employees of Brick are paying the price. I feel eventually the residents will also pay the price.

      We closed the books on our 2008 American Cancer Society's Relay For Life season as of Aug. 31. We wish to extend a very large thank you to all who participated in our "Relay Rodeo, Rounding up the Shore for a Cure." The 2008 Relay For Life event was held at Brick Township High School on June 6 and 7.
