Rosaline "Rose" Stryker Kennedy Mrs. Kennedy, 83, a lifelong resident of Freehold, died Nov. 6, 2008, at Montgomery Care Center, Freehold Township. She was a cashier at the 33 East Car Wash, Freehold, for 33 years before her retirement in 2000. Her first husband, John R. Stryker, died in 1970. Her second husband, Edward Kennedy, died in 1988. A daughter, Colleen Stryker Hough, died in 2000. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Ray, Joseph, and William Daley; and two sisters, Marion Serwin and Nancy Wenzel. Surviving are two sons, John Henry Stryker, Freehold, and Dennis Stryker and his wife, Michelle, Brick; a daughter, Rosemary Plum and her husband, David, Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Rena Domanski, Freehold; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. Memorial donations may be made to the Joan Dancy and PALS Support Group, Riverview Medical Center, 1 Riverview Plaza, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Arrangements were by Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. |
