Reader happy with renaming of tree lighting

Iwould like to publicly thank the mayor's office, Councilman Toth and Councilman DeLuca for their responses to my request regarding the tree decorated for Christmas in front of the municipal building.

The fact that you took time out of your busy schedules to e-mail or call me personally and to act on my request reaffirms my faith in the workings of our local government. I'm certain your jobs can feel thankless at times, and I wanted to express my appreciation.

My family and I look forward to seeing all of you at the lighting of the Christmas tree on Dec. 2.

May we all have a happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, a happy Hanukkah, a happy Kwanzaa and a happy and healthy new year!
