'Walk for Special Olympics' April 19

The Jersey Shore Running Club will hold its first "Walk for Special Olympics New Jersey,"April 19 at 10 a.m. beginning at Convention Hall, Asbury Park. Registration begins at 9 a.m.

The three-mile walk follows the boardwalk and ends at Convention Hall. Entry fee is $25 and includes a long-sleeve Tshirt. Incentives for raising an additional $50, $100 and $200 include a hat, duffle bag and windbreaker. Proceeds benefit athletes that participate in Special Olympics New Jersey.
