Environmental workshop for teachers slated

Ocean County Soil Conservation District and the members of the Barnegat Bay Environmental Educators Roundtable Steering Committee will host the 11th annual Environmental Educators Roundtable 3-8 p.m.April 30 at the Lighthouse Center for Natural Resource and Education, Waretown.

A variety of two-hour programs will be offered that include designing rain gardens and outdoor classrooms, creative expression through nature journaling, cruising

the bay, exploring the frogs of the Pinelands or carving a fish or bird decoy. One-hour programs will be offered on shellfish restoration, edible marsh munchies and more.

The cost to attend is $20 and includes a light dinner and refreshments.
