Master plan meeting to be held May 21

Mayor Stephen C. Acropolis and the Brick Township Council have announced that the departments of Parks and Recreation and Land Use and Community Development, along the T&MAssociates will host a public meeting to discuss the township's master plan for parks and recreation, which is currently under development. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. May 21 at the Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road. Members of the public are invited to attend to offer their input regarding the redevelopment of all of the township's recreational facilities.

The master plan is yet another step in an ongoing effort to continue to develop and enhance Brick's outdoor recreational facilities. Through it, the township will develop and prioritize the areas in need of upgrade and improvements.

T&M Associates is the township's recreation engineering firm. They have been responsible for the renovation of Drum Point Road Park in 2007 and the upgrades of Frede Drive and Norman J. Sherman (Arrowhead) Parks scheduled for later this summer.

For more information, call the Brick recreation office at (732) 262-1044.
