Reader blasts political attacks on Acropolis It's one thing to be against a community center, but I think it's taking it too far to call our current mayor the worst Brick has had, especially when the previous one is currently sitting in a jail cell in Fort Dix. As a community we have always yearned for a community center. Now for the first time, we have the real opportunity to get a property for our center that is already equipped with components of a community center from the closing date. It's reasonable to deduce that a community center in this town would have a hockey rink (or two) just like it's reasonable to expect it to have a swimming pool or track. I feel that these attacks on Mayor Acropolis are politically driven, and we as a community need to come together and leave politics out of this issue. I understand that politics can be ruthless, but in my opinion, this is unprecedented. It's blatantly obvious to me that the people making these attacks are choosing their party over our town. It's not right and it needs to stop. Google the people from the group SOS (Stop OverSpending.) They are all people that were appointed by former Brick Township Democratic Mayor Joseph Scarpelli or worked on his campaign.
Get informed. Call the mayor's office and get the actual facts on this issue. It's time we come together and support getting a community center, once and for all. |
