Anthony Lombardi Mr. Lombardi, 72, a resident of Manalapan for 40 years, died Sept. 11, 2008, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He worked as a printer for more than 30 years at the Daily News in New York before retiring in 2001. Mr. Lombardi also served in the National Guard for 10 years and was an exempt member and past president of the Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Harriet; two sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Edna of Quarryville, Pa., and Mark and Susan of Portsmouth, N.H.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruthanne and Michael Lennox of Manalapan and Jennifer Lombardi and Peter Luizzi of Brick; two brothers, Harry of Long Island, N.Y., and Jack of Sayre, Pa.; and six grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Manalapan, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Freehold Township.
