Resident thanks Herbertsville Fire Dept.

It was early on New Year's Eve and my husband was not at home. My oldest son plugged the new Wii system into the outlet, and flames shot out. I called 911, and the Herbertsville Fire Department responded very quickly.

I not only had my three children in the house at the time, but two neighbors' children as well. We all bundled up and sat in the very warm ambulance.

All the men from the fire department were patient, informing me every step of the way exactly what they were doing in the house, and were overall very nice. It amazes me that they are volunteers!

They quickly assessed the problem to be the wire on the outlet. There was no fire in the wall. They removed and taped off the outlet. The fire department even stayed to make sure that my heat and hot water were working.

Thanks to all the men and woman at the Herbertsville Fire Department. Your service to Brick does not go unnoticed, and we appreciate you.
