Brick Township and Brick Memorial high school hockey teams, both off rousing tournament performances, renew their rivalry on Monday at 4 p.m. at the Ocean Ice Palace.

Brick Township moved over the .500 mark by winning the Mackay Tournament in Englewood while Brick Memorial finished third in the Jefferson Tournament over the Christmas holidays. Dylan Beaver will be in goal for Brick Township, which will be led by Patrick Kearns and Mike Dornacker, while Mike Vincent is in the nets for Brick Memorial, which looks to Eric Talty and Brandon Person.

The High Performance Volleyball Academy at 1245 Airport Road, Lakewood, will host the Tour of Glory Tournament Jan. 17-19, a multi-day volleyball competition for children and their parents, where 22 courts will support many teams in volleyball competition. The goal of the showcase is to celebrate the success of the American teams in the Beijing Olympics and will also serve as a fundraiser for the national program.

Activities such as skills clinics and conferences will be conducted by athletes and coaches for American teams over the years and are expected to include U.S. men's volleyball coach Hugh McCutcheon, world champions and Olympic medalists Kevin Barnet, Lindsay Berg, Nicole Davis and Stacy Sykora, beach volleyball Olympic medalist Eric Fonoimoana, and indoor and beach game stars such as Pat Powers and Chris 'Sinjin' Smith.

On Jan. 17 at 7 p.m., after the Saturday competition, The "Player's Party" will take place and will include music, food, photograph sessions, autograph signings and meet-and-greet opportunities. All dinner fees raised will be donated to USA Volleyball for the national team program.

For details, call event organizer Francisco Casado at 732-415-1370.
