      Officials must represent all, not just union workers, mayor says
            Iread with great interest the letter submitted by Mr. John Menshon, chairman for the Transport Workers Union Local 225 Branch 4, which represents Brick Township employees. Mr. Menshon implies that the council and I are anti-worker and anti-union. This is far from the truth.

      Private groups shouldn't have to pay for state's responsibility
            It's been almost 12 years since then-Gov. Christine Todd Whitman pledged to provide as many interpretive centers as possible at New Jersey's state parks. She made the promise on June 21, 1997, the day officials cut the ribbon and dedicated the new Island Beach State Park interpretive center on Shore Road in Ocean County.

      Date and time noted, but for what?
            Ihad a very important appointment marked on my calendar for Monday, Feb. 2, 2 o'clock sharp. I knew for certain that was an important appointment because it was written with a black Sharpie marker and we all know that only appointments of utmost importance are worthy of the Sharpie marker.
