Donald J. Furcillo

Mr. Furcillo, 53, of Westford, Mass., died Jan. 3, 2009. He had lived in Brick for 23 years and was a graduate of Brick High School, where he excelled in sports. He attended the U.S. Air Force Academy and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree at Colby College, Maine, and a master's degree from Cambridge College, Mass. He was a middle school teacher and coached football and ice hockey. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Gilda Furcillo; a daughter, Jillian Furcillo; three sons, Don J. Furcillo Jr. and his wife, Heather, of Wake Forest, N.C., Tom Furcillo of Bristol, Conn., and Timothy Furcillo of Westford, Mass; his parents, Donald and Maryanne Furcillo, Little River, S.C.; and two sisters, Joni Laurence of Va. and Annamaria Thiel of Colo. A funeral service was held at the United Methodist Church, Westford, Mass. Arrangements were under the care of the Healy Funeral Home, Westford, Mass.
