      Basketball season comes to an end for three Brick teams
            BRICK TOWNSHIP — Brick Memorial's boys basketball team was supposed to be the last team standing in the NJSIAA Tournament. But it was the school's girls team that outlasted the boys team, until Friday night, when the Mustangs were eliminated by Montgomery, 64-41, in the NJSIAA Group IV Central Jersey semifinals to draw an end to their greatest season ever at 16-11.

      Brick's Jay Frank makes NJAC state All-Star First Team
            BRICK TOWNSHIP — Jay Frank, a junior and captain of The College of New Jersey men's basketball team, was frustrated seeing his team's season end earlier than he wanted. But the Brick resident got some personal satisfaction when he was selected to the 2008-2009 New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Star First Team.

            Randolph High School coach Rich McLaughlin didn't need a detailed scouting report on the schemes for Brick Township High School's hockey team for Sunday's NJSIAA public school quarterfinal game at Mennen Arena in Morris Township.
