Madeline DeMelia

Mrs. DeMelia, 78, of Brick, died March 7, 2009, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. She resided in Middletown, prior to relocating to Brick recently. She was a retired executive secretary at Bellcore, Shrewsbury, where she was employed several years. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene; a son, Richard; and three sisters Ann, Mary and Jeannie. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Chris and Nancy DeMelia of Brick, and Matthew DeMelia of Toms River; a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Anthony Petillo of Brick; a brother and sister in-law, Sam and Mary Porzungolo of Norwalk, Conn.; a sister, Terri Haliy of Hollywood, Fla.; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Justin's Roman Catholic Church, Toms River. Interment followed at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. Arrangements were by John E.
