Pvt. Scott Rampone Pvt. Scott Rampone, 19, and Pvt. Jeff Melia, 20, both of Brick Township, have graduated from the U.S. Marine Corps. boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD), Parris Island, S.C., on Jan. 30..

Pvt. Rampone and Pvt. Melia successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD Parris Island, each being one of 84 recruits in Platoon No. 1012 Bravo Company.

After a ten-day leave, they have reported to Camp Lejeune, N.C., for 30 days of military combat training. They will then report to their military occupation specialty school. Scott is the son of Jim and Lisa Rampone and Jeff is the son of Dennis and Anne Melia.
