      Project Graduation will hold fundraiser
            Brick Memorial High School Project Graduation 2009 and Earth Treasures of Eatontown will hold a fundraising event 7- 9 p.m. April 21 that will convert unwanted jewelry into cash. Gold, silver, platinum and costume jewelry will be accepted.

      Project Graduation will hold gift auction
            A gift auction and luncheon hosted by Brick Memorial High School Project Graduation 2009 will be held noon to 5 p.m. May 3 at Veteran's Memorial Middle School, 105 Hendrickson Ave. Drawings will begin at 1:30 p.m. Admission is $15 and includes lunch, dessert, soda, coffee and tea.

      Boating safety course dates scheduled
            U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Division 16, will offer three test-out dates to obtain a state boating safety certificate, which is required to be in compliance with New Jersey State Marine law. All boaters who wish to operate a power vessel must possess a certificate by June 1.

      BCCT will hold 'Seussical' auditions
            Brick Children's Community Theater (BCCT) will hold auditions for "Seussical, the Musical" April 25-26 at the Brick Civic Center, Chambersbridge Road, Brick. Auditions for children ages 8-12 will begin at 1:30 p.m. Auditions for children currently age 13 and over will begin at 3:30 p.m. Those auditioning should be prepared to dance. Latecomers will not be admitted.

            The New Jersey Division of Parole Street Gang Unit/G.R.E.A.T. (gang resistance, education and training) will host a street gang awareness program 7-9 p.m. April 22 in the Brick Township Memorial High School auditorium, 2001 Lanes Mill Road.

            The Brick Township Relay for Life will hold a wine and food pairing party 6-9 p.m. April 29 at The Mansion on the Plaza at Brick Plaza. Tickets are $50 per person. Details: 732-930-9043.

      Parking permits, beach badges on sale
            The Brick Township Recreation Department has announced that season beach badges and season parking permits for summer 2009 are now on sale in the Brick Recreation Department. The price for season badges is $25 if purchased prior to June 15. After that date, the price increases to $30 for season badges.

      Retired educators to meet May 14
            The Ocean County Retired Educators Association will host its spring meeting and luncheon at the Quality Inn, Toms River, at 11 a.m. May 14. Current members will have the opportunity to vote for OCREA officers during the election period following the business meeting. The cost of the luncheon is $22 per person and reservations must be received by May 5.
