Brick softball, baseball teams off to rocky starts

      BRICK TOWNSHIP — Brick Memorial's baseball team is spending this week in Fort Pierce, Fla., hoping to turn around a tough start, just like they did a year ago, when the team went 3-0 during a stay in Orlando. Fla. The Mustangs, at 1-3, are looking to get back on track while the season is still young. So is Brick Township after it dropped its first four games.

      A senior golf tournament, sponsored by the Ocean County Parks and Recreation, will be held May 7 at the Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis, located on Country Club Boulevard in Little Egg Harbor. Check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
