            Kat Connelly, the point guard whose poise and leadership helped the Brick Township High School girls basketball team to its best season in five years with berths in the Shore Conference and NJSIAA tournaments, is taking her talents to the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

      Stuto, Howard shine in county track & field championships
            Lisa Stuto picked up a lot of points, as expected, for Brick Township High School's girls outdoor track and field team in the Ocean County championships, as the Green Dragons finished impressively in fifth place. But Jihad Howard of Brick Memorial High School also created a lot of excitement, when the transfer won a couple of medals in the sprint events.

      Boys, girls lacrosse teams aiming for state tourney
            Members of the Brick Township High School boys lacrosse team are closing in on a berth in the NJSIAA Tournament if they win one of three games this week in an 8-6 season. Teams with a record of .500 or better by Friday's cutoff will qualify.

      Brick Township softball team edges out Brick Memorial
            It was more than a well-earned victory for the Brick Township High School girls softball team when they beat rival Brick Memorial High School 2-0 in 10 innings on May 8. The win also boosted the team's record to 10-6 and secured a berth in the NJSIAA Tournament.

      BMHS boys tennis coach has high hopes for weekend
            Brick Memorial High School's boys tennis team is struggling through a 2- 8 season in the grueling Shore Conference A South Division. But coach Don McCarrick remains optimistic for the Ocean County championships that will take place Saturday and Sunday at Bay Lea Park and Monsignor Donovan High School, both in Toms River.
