      May programs and events at the Brick library

      Brick Branch of the Ocean County Library, 301 Chambers Bridge Road, has announced its schedule of free events and programs for the month of May. Registration is required unless otherwise noted.       By appointment only: one-on-one "Computer Chats." Consult with a librarian concerning your individual computer needs. Limited to one session per month.

      • May 21, 6:30 p.m., Mother/Daughter Craft Club, age 10 and up

      • May 22, 3:30 p.m., Read to the Dogs, age 6 and up; read to therapy dogs

      • May 27, 11 a.m., mouse skills

      • May 30, 2 p.m., Russian Carnival, five musicians perform Russian folk music

      • April 28, May 5, 12, 19 and 26, or April 29, May 6, 13, 20 and 27, 10:30 a.m., for 4- and 5-year-olds, spring preschool story time

      • April 29, May 6, 13, 20 and 27, 9:30 a.m., or April 30, May 7, 14, 21 and 28, at 10:30 a.m., stories and fun for 2- and 3- year-olds.

      • May 4, 11, 18, 25 and June 1, 10- 11:15 a.m., "1, 2, 3, Grow with Me: A Family Place Parent/Child Workshop": parents and children ages 1-3 learn about developmental issues while children get the chance to socialize and enjoy the library; register in person, beginning April 20.
