      Brick basketball graduates looking forward to college play
            Three Brick Memorial High School basketball standouts are headed off to colleges in the fall. Matt O'Brien, veteran guard who commandeered the boys basketball team to the Shore Conference A South title, its third in five years, will be playing at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pa.

      Lacrosse coaches look back on decent 2009 season
            High school boys lacrosse in Brick came to a soggy ending for five athletes from the two Brick Township high schools. The boys played in the Shore All-Star game at Holmdel, where Monmouth beat Ocean, 13-8, in a downpour Saturday evening.

            BRICK TOWNSHIP — To the victor go the spoils, and the Brick Township High School girls softball team has gotten it share of recognition coming off its second-best season in school history. But Georgian Court University women's lacrosse coach Mike Migliorisi never changed his offer to Brick Memorial High School star Corinne Coyle. And that assurance inspired her to a school record-setting senior year.
