Local fire stations to welcome new grads

Forty-two new firefighters who completed an intensive training program of both classroomand hands-on instruction were feted during graduation ceremonies June 30 at the Ocean County Training Center, Waretown.

After completing a demanding 180-hour program at the Ocean County Training Center, which houses the Ocean County Fire Academy, the graduates were awarded Level 1 Firefighter Certification.

The graduates from local fire companies are: Robert T. Contras, David R. Wos, Laurelton Volunteer Fire Company and Lindsay A. Jones, Herbertsville Volunteer Fire Company.
