      Mary Elizabeth Garden, of Brick, a representative for VITAS Innovative Hospice Care of New Jersey Shore, has been chosen as a national finalist of VITAS' Leadership Council. Garden, who joined VITAS in 2006, educates physicians and health-care facility professionals about the benefits of hospice care for patients with life-limiting diagnoses.

Meetings are held on Monday mornings from 9-10 a.m. in Room 104 at OCCs Center for Business Education and Training, 150 Brick Blvd., Brick.
