      Brick American Bulldogs headed to regionals this week
            Pat Franzione did not get the pitch where he likes it. But he still made the most of an opportunity in the Cal Ripken Majors 12-year-old state championships on July 26 at the Brick American field.             Brick National 11s manager Jeff O'Neill shook up the batting order after the team lost to Washington Township, 5- 4, on July 26 in Hopewell.             Brick National's showdown with Burlington for the Big League state championship for 16- to 18-year-olds on July 26 was rained out. So the game was rescheduled for July 27.

            Awhole new lineup meshed quickly and remained tight throughout the season as the A's won the Brick American 9-year-old Cal Ripken championship.
