Twin County Soccer of Brick will hold registration for its fall 2009 micro and rec soccer program. Registration starts at $65 for the spring and fall season. The single season fee is $55 and each additional sibling can register for an additional $35. Registration is open to girls and boys that will be 4 to 8 years old by Feb. 1, 2010. A mid-summer ocean swim will be held in Lavallette on Aug. 8. Registration and check-in will take place 7-7:45 a.m. at the beach pavilion on Philadelphia Avenue at Ocean. The one-mile swim will begin at 8 a.m. for master's swimmers and 8:10 a.m. for the open swim. T-shirts will be provided to all swimmers, and awards will be presented to the top three males and females in each age group. The swim is coordinated by the Ocean County YMCA and the Lavallette Beach Patrol. The Twin County Celtics boys soccer team (U11 in fall '09) are holding tryouts at all of their practice sessions on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Drum Point Sports Complex in Brick. The Celtics play for Twin County Soccer of Brick in MOSA in the Nat. 1 division. They are looking for a goalkeeper plus field players who are dedicated to the game. Brick residency is not required. TCSA SoccerGirlz U11 soccer team seeks players born between Aug. 1, 1998, and July 31, 2000. The team has been together since 2006 and will be playing in the Monmouth Ocean Soccer Association in the fall. Brick residency is not required. The 11th annual golf outing sponsored by the Ocean County Foundation for Vocational Technical Education will be held Sept. 21 at Pine Ridge Golf Course, Lakehurst. Registration and continental breakfast will be held 8-8:30 a.m. The entry fee is $85 and includes greens fees, golf cart, lockers, banquet, course refreshments, awards, prizes and goodie bags.
