      Residents can't afford cost of referendum
            After reading the Sept. 17 Brick Bulletin article "School board prez grilled on architect pick at tense meeting," I am very concerned over the process that was used to select the architect for the $172 million referendum taking place Sept. 29 here in Brick.

      Schools chief urges voters to go to polls on Sept. 29
            Next Tuesday, Sept. 29, the polls will open at 11 a.m. so you can cast your vote for or against the referendum for school repairs. The many years of hard work put forth by the District Strategic Planning Committee and the Buildings and Grounds Committee of the Board of Education are what led to this referendum vote and the reason it reflects no frills or extravagant items.
