      Shared services revenue easy to follow, reader says
            I frequently attend Brick Township Council meetings. On several occasions, Joe Lamb has questioned Mayor Steve Acropolis and Business Administrator Scott Pezarras about the town's shared services agreement with Toms River. I have personally witnessed both Mayor Acropolis and Mr. Pezarras answer his questions and correct his math.

      Dangerous township traffic situations need attention
            Recently, the school bus arriving to pick up children was honked at and cursed by angry speeding drivers who also weren't yielding to a bus making a very tight right turn into my neighborhood. This reminded me that my local officials have been slow to respond to other safety issues.

That is why many people in the United States would prefer not to tackle comprehensive health care reformat the present time. They are not willing to support acrossthe board reform such as the bills currently being proposed in Congress.

      Teachers not to blame for tough economic conditions
            Just to clarify a few things about teachers and benefits in Brick Township. It is true that they are not required to contribute to their health care costs if they choose a direct access plan. However, Brick schoolteachers are well below the state average in salaries for teachers.
