James J. Hammill

Mr. Hammill, 46, of Union Beach, died Oct. 11, 2009, at home. He was a self-employed sheetrock contractor and a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. He was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Elizabeth O'Grady Hammill, and two sisters, Patricia Hammill and Marybeth Hammill; surviving are his wife, Carleen Tonks Hammill; a daughter, Jamie Hammill; siblings, Gail Hammill of Union Beach, Elizabeth Hammill of Brick, Sharon Duffy and her husband, Ray, of Tenafly, Kathleen Geronimo of Brick, Kenneth Hammill and Desma Dunne of Staten Island, and Joseph Hammill of Union Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Holy Family Church. Interment was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Day Funeral Home, Keyport, handled the arrangements.
