      Former BMHS soccer star makes her mark at U Penn
      Jessica Fuccello headed for pro league tryouts next month
            Jessica Fuccello earned a first team All- Ivy selection for the second time in three seasons at the University of Pennsylvania. But what made it especially gratifying for the former Brick Memorial High School soccer star forward, who led the Ivy League with 16 goals, is her rebound from a badly injured ankle that sidelined her for all but 20 game minutes last season.

      Brick girls volleyball teams wrap up season
            Brick Township High School's girls volleyball team wasted no time qualifying for postseason play, making it into the Shore Conference Tournament in only its second varsity season. Unfortunately for the upstart program, it drew state-caliber powerhouse Southern Regional High School, which swept the match after a number of long points in the game.

      Pop Warner Dragon Pee Wees triumph in Eastern Regionals
      Junior Pee Wee Whites roll over Montclair, 24-0
            Kyle Taranto has kicked his share of conversions after touchdowns. But he belted a memorable one in the Pop Warner Eastern Regionals against the Nicetown Titans in Philadelphia recently. After Kyle Wojtaszek scored on a twoyard run on the Dragons' second series of the Nov. 15 game, Taranto had to kick his conversion from 20 yards out.

      BTHS girls soccer team's season comes to an end
            Amagical run to the NJSIAA Group IV Central Jersey semifinals for Brick Township High School's girls soccer team ended in a 1-0 loss to Highland Regional. And although 10 players treasure that experience in their final varsity season, a nucleus of underclassmen can look to recapture that glory for next fall.

            The Twin County SA Titans, a competitive U14 boys travel team, won the N.J. Youth Soccer State Cup Nov. 1 at Mercer County Park, taking the place at the top of their age group in the state. They outscored their opponents in cup play 20-5, beating Hillsborough Roma 2-1, Vineland Devils 6-0, and Randolph Rovers 4-1.
