Garrett Graham of Brick continues to come up with big plays for the bowl-bound University of Wisconsin football team. The senior tight end has 35 receptions for 404 yards and caught his fifth touchdown pass of the season in a 45-24 victory over Michigan on Nov. 14, the third straight victory for the 8-2 Badgers.

Bill Winters of Brick, quarterback at Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Park, was named to the Middle Atlantic Conference All-Conference first team. The former Brick Township High School quarterback finished his career as the most prolific quarterback in FDU history. On the season, he went 136-of-208 for 1,606 yards to go along with 14 touchdowns and eight interceptions while also leading the team in rushing with 101 carries for 445 yards and five more touchdowns. In the conference, he ranked sixth in rushing yards per game (55.6), second in passing yards per game (200.8), and second in total offense per game (256.4) while ranking 50th nationally in total offense.

Winters also owns most of the FDU career passing records, including passing yards, passing attempts, passing completions, completion percentage and passing touchdowns. He also finished his career fifth in rushing touchdowns among quarterbacks.

      The Jersey Knights finished 2-8.

Chris James, quarterback for The College of New Jersey and a former teammate of Graham's at Brick Memorial, was named New Jersey Athletic Conference honorable mention. James, a senior, competed 131 of 217 passes for 60 percent for 1,757 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was intercepted only eight times. James three times this season passed for more than 300 yards in a game, including a season-high 358 yards against Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Park. James also rushed for 138 yards. The College of New Jersey ended its season at 4-6 with a 39-0 loss to Rowan (7-3) on Nov. 14.

In basketball, former Brick Memorial star Jay Frank, a first team all-NJAC selection last season, hit back-to-back 20-point games as The College of New Jersey won its opening games over Lehman, 83-76, in double overtime and Berkeley, 96-50. Frank also grabbed seven rebounds against Lehman and forced the first overtime when he sank a jumper with 1:18 left in regulation.
