BCCT will hold auditions Jan. 23
      Brick Children’s Community Theatre (BCCT), a nonprofit community theater group dedicated to the children of Ocean and Monmouth counties, will hold auditions for its spring show Jan. 23 at the Brick Town Civic Center, Chambers Bridge Road, Brick. Audition times are 2:15 p.m. for ages 4-6, 3:30 p.m. for ages 7-11, and 5 p.m. for ages 12 and older. Show dates are April 16- 17.

Baseball club slates used clothing drive
      A used clothing drive to benefit the Brick Memorial Baseball program will be held 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Jan. 9. Collections of clothing, shoes, hand bags, accessories, linens, backpacks, toys and games, baby strollers, cribs, etc., can be dropped off at the Brick Memorial High School gold cafeteria, located at 2001 Lanes Mill Road.

Historical Society to meet, host speaker
      The Brick Township Historical Society will hold its next meeting 7:30 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Herbertsville Firehouse, 601 Herbertsville Road. Dan Lieb of the Squan Beach Life Saving Station will present a program on the history of the U.S. Lifesaving Service, which was the forerunner of the U.S. Coast Guard Service. Parents can join children at Bounce U
      The Ocean County Department of Parks & Recreation will conduct a new program at Bounce U, 1920 Swarthmore Ave., Lakewood. Parents will be able to join their child on the slide, bouncers, boxing ring and more. Children must be at least 34 inches tall to participate. The fee is $8 per child, ages 3 to 6 years.
