      Housing fair to be held Jan. 23 at library

      The Brick branch of the Ocean County Library, 301 Chambers Bridge Road, will host a Get Help With Housing Information Fair 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 23. The event will provide answers to many types of housing issues.

      Area residents will have an opportunity to meet and talk with representatives from governmental agencies and not-for-profit organizations specializing in housing issues. Some of the topics to be covered include first-time home buying, refinancing regulations, foreclosure information, and the rights of tenants and landlords.

      Representatives from the state Department of Banking and Insurance, the Public Advocate’s Office, the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development, New Jersey Hope, New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency, and Novadebta, a credit counseling and debt management service, will be on hand to answer questions and provide information. Several local agencies have also been invited to attend.
